(Criteria to be fulfilled in grade 7 and 8 – based on the Austrian School Law – "SchUG")

Grade 7

  • Pass grade 7 and ascend to grade 8
  • Compulsory attendance and participation in all subject courses (Matura courses / 2-3 IB SL courses, 3-4 IB HL courses)
  • If it is not possible to assess a student's achievements in one or more subject courses due to non-existing participation; absences; exams, tests, homework assignments etc. that have been missed, the following applies:
    • The student must pass an assessment test ("Feststellungsprüfung) in the subject course(s) concerned.
    • If this assessment test cannot be passed, no grade but an "N" ("Nicht beurteilt" – assessment not possible) is awarded. As a consequence the student concerned cannot complete the academic year and is not authorized to ascend to grade 8.
